Every once and a while I will come across a restaurant in Brighton that I feel compelled to mention on our blog. Yesterday I ate at La Meena Mediterranean Grill here in Brighton. I have eaten there 4 or 5 times now and I don't have one bad thing to say.
La Meena offers Mideastern food such as kabobs, shawarma, falafel, grapeleaves and much more. Everything I have tried is fantastic and I have sampled just about everything on the menu. Everything is very fresh and well prepared. The wait staff is very friendly and even the person on the phone was very accomodating. They probably dont want me to say but I ordered something that wasnt really on the menu and they were able to accomodate my request without any problems.
It is important that we support our local restaurants, especially those such as La Meena, providing us with a cuisine we aren't often exposed to. When you drive from town to town and exit to exit on the highway, you are always going to see the same places. The big box retailers, the family dinner chains and the fast food joints. You won't find La Meena at every exit so be sure to go in and support this Livingston County Gem.
